Dog friendly'Silver Queen' is a sophisticated choice for gardeners looking for both floral impact and year-round foliage interest. This compact, mounded evergreen features small, dark green leaves neatly margined with a crisp, silvery-white edge, which provides a cooling effect in shaded borders. In May, the plant is almost entirely obscured by a breathtaking display of bright, rose-pink to magenta flowers that attract bees and butterflies.
As a member of the Rhododendron family, 'Silver Queen' is an ericaceous plant, meaning it requires acidic soil to thrive. It is particularly well-suited for woodland gardens, shaded rockeries, or as a striking container specimen on a patio using ericaceous compost. To ensure the most vibrant leaf variegation and a heavy bloom, plant in a spot with dappled or partial shade. Because Azaleas have shallow root systems, we recommend using Rootgrow (specifically the Ericaceous version if available) to help it establish.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
