Dog friendly'Elegantissima' is a fantastic "all-rounder" for the garden. Unlike other dogwoods that are grown primarily for their winter bark, this variety is equally prized for its beautiful summer foliage. The slender leaves are a soft grey-green with irregular, creamy-white margins, providing a cool, airy feel to borders even in shaded spots. Small clusters of creamy-white flowers appear in late spring, followed by white berries that are popular with birds.
As winter approaches, the leaves often take on a pinkish tinge before falling to reveal deep red, upright stems. While not as neon-bright as 'Sibirica', the stems provide a sophisticated architectural structure throughout the coldest months. It is exceptionally hardy and thrives in almost any soil condition, including heavy clay and damp areas. To maintain the best foliage and stem colour, prune hard (coppice) in early spring. To ensure the best possible start, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
