'Ballerina' is one of the most versatile and reliable roses ever bred. From early summer right through to autumn, it produces a relentless succession of large, rounded clusters, each containing dozens of small, single flowers. These charming blooms are a soft pink with a clear white eye and bright yellow stamens, giving the plant the appearance of being draped in delicate lace.

It forms a dense, rounded, and bushy shrub with arching stems and attractive, light green foliage. Unlike many finicky roses, 'Ballerina' is incredibly tough; it is famously tolerant of poorer soils and is one of the few roses that will flower successfully in partial shade. It is an elite choice for a flowering hedge, a mixed cottage border, or even a large patio container. In autumn, if not deadheaded, it produces a fine crop of small red hips that provide winter interest and food for birds. To ensure it develops a strong, deep root system in any soil type, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.
