Dog friendlyStipa gigantea is widely regarded as one of the finest ornamental grasses for a sunny garden. It forms a neat, evergreen mound of narrow, grey-green leaves. From early summer, tall, elegant stems rise high above the foliage, carrying large, airy panicles of flowers. These emerge with a purple tint before maturing into a brilliant, glistening gold that lasts well into the winter.
This grass is the perfect choice for adding height, movement, and a sense of transparency to a border. Because the flower heads are so airy, you can see through them to other plants behind, making it a favourite for "prairie-style" planting. It is exceptionally drought-tolerant once established and thrives in poor, well-drained soils. To ensure it develops the deep root system required to support its towering flower spikes, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
