It grows into a distinctive mushroom shape with cascading branches draped in finely cut, feathery leaves. The foliage emerges a fresh, vibrant green in spring and holds its colour through summer before transforming into a spectacular display of golden-yellow and fiery orange in autumn. Its slow-growing nature and architectural habit make it a perfect specimen plant for rockeries, planting near ponds, or growing in large containers.
To create a peaceful, woodland feel, plant it alongside other shade-lovers like ferns, Hostas, or the early-flowering Azaleas. Like all Japanese Maples, it thrives best in a sheltered position protected from strong winds and harsh afternoon sun, which can dry out the delicate leaves. To ensure the plant establishes a strong root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To maintain the lush foliage and health of the tree, apply Vitax Acer Feed during the growing season.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
