Dog friendlyThis variety is an excellent choice for the home gardener, offering the flavour and abundance of traditional blackberries without the risk of scratches, making harvesting much easier. 'Merton Thornless' is vigorous, producing smooth, strong canes that are easy to manage and tie to a support system (such as wires or a pergola). It yields a high volume of fruit that ripens late in the season (late August into September). The berries are large, firm, and possess an excellent rich, tangy-sweet flavour, making them superb for fresh eating, preserves, and cooking.
It is tough, hardy, and resilient, thriving in most soils and conditions. Like all blackberries, it fruits on wood produced in the previous year (floricanes). To ensure the plant establishes a strong and extensive root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To promote vigorous growth and maximize the yield of sweet, high-quality fruit, apply Vitax Q4 All Purpose Fertiliser in early spring.

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
