Short description

Callistemon laevis, commonly known as the bottlebrush, is a striking evergreen shrub admired for its bright red, brush-like flowers that bloom in summer. The narrow, aromatic green leaves add texture and colour throughout the year. A compact variety, it makes a superb feature plant or can be grown in a pot in a sunny, sheltered location.

It typically grows to around 1.5–2m tall and wide, forming a neat, rounded shape. Ideal for gardens with a Mediterranean feel or sunny courtyard spaces. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Protect from severe frost and cold winds—best planted in a sheltered spot or overwintered indoors in colder areas. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth. Water regularly during dry spells, especially in the first year. Feed in spring with a general-purpose fertiliser.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
