Dog friendlyThis is an exceptionally tough and versatile shrub, perfect for difficult locations where other plants might struggle. Its large, leathery leaves are variegated with a central splash of yellow and lime-green, bordered by dark green, while the undersides have a distinctive silvery metallic sheen. In autumn, it produces small, creamy-white flowers. While they are often hidden amongst the leaves, they release a powerful and delicious honey-vanilla fragrance that carries on the air. These are sometimes followed by small orange berries in spring.
It is highly tolerant of salt spray and strong winds, making it one of the best choices for coastal hedging, but it is equally useful for screening in urban gardens or brightening up a north-facing wall. To ensure the plant establishes a strong and extensive root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To maintain the health of the foliage and ensure the soil remains biologically active, apply Empathy After Plant Evergreen regularly during the growing season.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
