This superior topiary specimen is a fantastic choice for high-impact formal displays. As a half standard, it features a tall, clear stem topped with a perfectly round, dense head, providing height and formality for framing doorways, defining sightlines, or adding structure to a patio. The tiny, glossy, dark green leaves closely resemble boxwood (Buxus), giving a classic, neat appearance. Crucially, Ilex crenata offers gardeners a peace-of-mind solution as it is resistant to box blight and box tree moth.

It performs beautifully when planted in pairs in elegant containers, where its compact size and shape provide year-round punctuation. To ensure the plant establishes a strong root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To maintain the density of the foliage and ensure the soil remains biologically active and healthy, especially in a container, apply Empathy After Plant Evergreen regularly throughout the growing season.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
