Jasmine officinale

Price £ 12.99

Short description

Jasminum officinale, commonly known as Common Jasmine, is a vigorous, deciduous climber renowned for its highly fragrant, star-shaped white flowers, which appear in summer and into early autumn. Its slender stems and delicate green foliage make it perfect for training over trellises, arches, or along walls and fences.

It can reach a height of 6–9 metres and spread up to 3 metres. Prefers full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. In cooler regions, choose a warm, sheltered position to encourage flowering and protect from harsh winds. Prune immediately after flowering to control size and shape, removing any dead or damaged growth. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser and mulch to retain soil moisture.
