Short description

Liquidambar styraciflua is a striking deciduous tree admired for its brilliant autumn foliage. The glossy, star-shaped leaves turn vibrant shades of yellow, orange, red, and deep purple in autumn, making it a stunning seasonal focal point. It has a neat, upright habit and develops a strong, pyramidal shape as it matures.

This tree can reach an ultimate height of 15–20m and a spread of 6–10m, so it's best suited to larger gardens or open spaces. Prefers full sun for best autumn colour. Grows well in moist, fertile, well-drained soils that are acidic to neutral. Avoid very chalky or shallow soils. Low maintenance once established. Water the well during dry spells in the first few years after planting. Prune only to remove damaged or crossing branches, ideally in late winter or early spring.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
