Short description

Olea europaea, commonly known as the olive tree, is an evergreen Mediterranean tree with silvery-green leaves and a gnarled trunk that adds year-round interest and character to the garden. As a half standard, it has a clear stem topped with a rounded head, making it ideal for patios, pots, or borders.

This slow-growing tree can reach up to 3–4m tall and 1.5–2m wide if left unpruned. It thrives in full sun and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Particularly well suited to pots—use John Innes No. 3 compost with added grit for drainage. Water regularly during dry periods, especially when grown in a container. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring and summer. Prune lightly in late spring to maintain its shape and encourage bushy growth. Protect from severe frost—move to a sheltered spot or wrap in fleece during winter.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal. 

Please enter a billing address and, if required, a different delivery address. 

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
