Dog friendlyOsmunda regalis lives up to its regal name, establishing impressive clumps that can reach over 2 meters tall in ideal conditions. It is unique among native ferns because its fronds are twice-divided, giving them a lighter, more delicate texture despite the plant's massive size. In summer, it produces distinctive fertile fronds that emerge from the centre, appearing covered in rusty-brown spore capsules, which give the fern an additional textural element.
This fern is a superb architectural plant for bog gardens, pond margins, or damp, shady borders. It requires consistently moist or even boggy, acidic soil to reach its full size. It is fully deciduous, with the fronds dying back completely in winter. To ensure the plant establishes a strong and extensive root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To support general health and robust foliage growth in the moist conditions it demands, apply Maxicrop Original Seaweed regularly during the growing season.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
