Short description

Ribes sanguineum ‘King Edward VII’ is a deciduous shrub prized for its abundant clusters of deep pink to crimson flowers that bloom in early spring, often before the leaves appear. Its glossy, lobed green foliage provides attractive summer interest. This variety grows with a rounded habit and is excellent for adding early colour to gardens or mixed borders. 

Grows to about 2.5m tall and 2m wide. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Tolerant of a range of soils but thrives best in fertile, neutral to slightly acidic conditions. Water regularly during dry periods, especially when newly planted. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth. Mulch in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
