'Rhapsody in Blue' is a true modern classic and a must-have for any rose enthusiast looking for a unique colour palette. In early summer, it produces masses of cup-shaped flowers in a rich, electric purple. As the blooms mature, they transition through a series of fascinating "blue" shades, eventually settling into a smoky slate-grey-blue, all centred around a cluster of bright golden-yellow stamens. The fragrance is also a highlight—a strong, spicy, and sweet perfume that carries well in the air.

This variety has an upright, bushy habit and is remarkably vigorous. It features healthy, medium-green foliage and shows good disease resistance. 'Rhapsody in Blue' is exceptionally versatile; it can be grown as a tall shrub or even trained as a short climber over a pillar or arch. It repeats reliably throughout the summer and into autumn. To ensure it develops a deep and stable root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.
