Dog friendly'Glasnevin' is the most popular and hardiest variety of the Chilean Potato Tree. This fast-growing climber is a true workhorse in the garden, producing a massive profusion of star-shaped, rich purple-blue flowers from mid-summer until well into the autumn. Bright, cone-like yellow anthers beautifully contrast the flowers and emit a delicate fragrance, especially on warm evenings.
In milder areas or sheltered spots, it will remain evergreen, though it may lose its leaves in colder winters. It is ideal for covering large sunny walls, fences, or pergolas, where it can be tied into a support system. While it is a member of the nightshade family, it is far more ornamental than its vegetable relatives. It thrives in a hot, sunny position and is relatively drought-tolerant once established. To ensure it climbs vigorously and develops a healthy root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
