Evergreen clump-forming plant requires a minimum of 10 C. Ideal to grow in a humid conservatory in a pot using John Innes No 3 compost. Will grow to 1.2m x 0.8m. Keep compost moist during spring and summer, and allow it to dry out between waterings during autumn and winter. Feed fortnightly with high-potash plant food, e.g. Maxicrop, April - September. Remove damaged leaves in spring.

Strelitzia reginae, commonly known as Bird of Paradise, is a striking evergreen plant that brings a tropical flair to your indoor or greenhouse spaces. Its vivid orange and blue flowers resemble a bird in flight, adding vibrant colour during its flowering period. Ideal for humid conservatories, it thrives in well-drained soil and prefers to be kept moist during the growing season. Allow it to dry out between waterings in autumn and winter. Regular feeding with a high-potash plant food from April to September is recommended. Prune away damaged leaves in spring for a tidy appearance. Grows to around 120cm in height and spreads to 80cm.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
