Short description

Fatsia japonica is a bold, evergreen shrub with large, glossy, palmate leaves that add instant architectural drama to any garden. In late autumn, it produces dense clusters of small white flowers, providing seasonal interest when little else is in bloom. This versatile plant works well either as a focal point or as part of a mixed planting.

Reaching around 2.5–3m tall and up to 2m wide, it grows well in sheltered spots and is ideal for courtyard gardens, woodland edges, or as a backdrop in borders. Prefers partial shade but tolerates full sun if sheltered. Thrives in well-drained soil, including loam or clay-based types, avoiding very dry or waterlogged conditions. Not suitable for shallow chalk. Prune lightly in spring to remove any damaged or untidy growth. Mulch in early spring and water during dry spells. Protect from cold, drying winds.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal. 

Please enter a billing address and, if required, a different delivery address. 

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
