Dog friendlyThis neat and tidy shrub is a fantastic choice for smaller gardens or for creating dense, colourful hedging. The foliage is its main attraction; new leaves emerge a vibrant bronze-red before maturing to a deep, glossy green. In mid to late spring, it produces large, flat heads of small white flowers, which are sometimes followed by red berries. Its naturally compact habit makes it far more manageable than the larger 'Red Robin', making it ideal for large pots or structural planting in borders.
For a classic mixed border, plant it alongside the winter-flowering Viburnum tinus or the gold-variegated foliage of Euonymus to create year-round interest. To ensure the plant establishes a strong and extensive root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To maintain the lush foliage and encourage vigorous, healthy growth, apply Vitax Q4 All Purpose Fertiliser in early spring.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
