Dog friendlyThis superior form of laurel is distinguished by its smaller, glossier, oval leaves held on beautiful deep red stems, giving it a more refined look than common laurel. The dense growth habit and deep colour make it a superb choice for high-quality screening and hedges. In summer, it produces small, sweetly scented white flowers on long racemes, which are attractive to bees and are followed by small, non-toxic red berries that turn black and are popular with birds.
It is highly versatile, tolerating a wide range of conditions, including heavy pruning, deep shade, and even chalky soil. It can be left to grow as an elegant small tree or clipped formally into a dense hedge. To ensure the plant establishes a strong and extensive root system, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting. To support vigorous establishment and the density required for hedging, apply Levington Fish, Blood & Bone in early spring.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre
Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect
We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.
We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.
Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.
Local Deliveries
Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre.
We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only.
Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
