Short description

Hardy, deciduous shrub with fuzzy, pink catkins in late winter/early spring. Ideal for us as cut flowers. The leaves are blueish-green with a silvery underside that makes a good foil for other plants in the garden. Grow in sun or light shade and any reasonable soil that is moisture retentive. Prune in mid-summer to produce a bushier plant with even more catkins.

Salix gracilistyla 'Mount Aso' is a delightful deciduous shrub, admired for its striking pink catkins that appear in late winter to early spring. These catkins make superb cut flowers, adding a touch of charm indoors. The foliage consists of blue-green leaves with a silvery underside, providing a beautiful backdrop in the garden. Plant in sun or partial shade with moisture-retentive soil for best results. Prune in mid-summer to encourage a bushier plant and more catkins. Enhance growth with Rootgrow and a balanced fertiliser. Ultimate height and spread reach approximately 2m x 2m.

We only operate in a select area of East & West Sussex​ and are unable to send items across the UK.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal. 

Please enter a billing address and, if required, a different delivery address. 

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
