'Ferdinand Pichard' is a horticultural masterpiece from 1921 that remains unsurpassed for its striking colouration and reliability. Unlike many older striped varieties that only flower once, this rose repeat-flowers generously. The blooms are beautifully formed and carry a rich, sweet Old Rose fragrance. Each flower is unique, displaying a varying pattern of bold crimson and violet-red stripes against a delicate blush-white base.

The plant has a vigorous, upright habit with pale green, leathery foliage that provides a fresh contrast to the dark, moody colours of the flowers. It is an elite choice for a mixed border or a dedicated rose garden, and its stems are relatively thornless compared to other varieties of its age. It can be grown as a tall, arching shrub or even trained as a short climber. To help it establish the deep root system required for its vigorous growth, we recommend using Rootgrow when planting.

Placing an Online Order with Goldcliff Garden Centre

Once you have added your items to the basket, you can continue to secure checkout and make payments via credit or debit card. All payments are processed via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

Click and Collect

We offer a click-and-collect service for those who would like to collect from us directly. Collection times are between 8:30 am and 6 pm - 7 days a week.

We ask you to have a copy of your order confirmation to hand, either printed or on a mobile device.

Please do not come to collect your order unless you have received a ‘ready to be collected’ email, as it may not be ready immediately. We strive to get all click and collect orders together within 2 hours, but sometimes this is not possible.

Local Deliveries

Local Deliveries are sent out on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no minimum order, but there is a fee for all orders that start at £10 and increase as you get further away from our centre. 

We offer curbside/driveway drop-off only. 

Additional charges may apply for large or heavy items.
